About Sally
I strive to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore your identity, navigate differences, and work through anxieties caused by internal conflicts. My goal is to help you create meaningful change that fosters harmony in your relationships with yourself and others. I believe that small, consistent improvements can lead to transformative change over time.
My approach is genuine, warm, and encouraging. I create a calm and welcoming space to validate your experiences, challenge maladaptive thinking patterns, and empower you to make meaningful changes.
I specialize in psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents, focusing on learning differences, giftedness, ADHD, anxiety, and autism. I also collaborate with parents to develop strategies that improve family dynamics, co-regulate emotions, and manage challenges related to attention difficulties, anxiety, confidence, and stress. My work is strength-based and supportive, helping individuals grow, adapt, and become more resilient.
In addition to psychoeducational assessments, I offer counseling services for children, teens, and adults, addressing stress and anxiety management, emotion regulation, life transitions, family dynamics, self-esteem, and self-awareness. I am especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals from the Asian demographic, helping them uncover their strengths, embracing their unique experiences, and overcoming the stigma associated with mental health.
Self-awareness is the key to unlocking this change, and I am honored to accompany you on your journey toward clarity and personal fulfillment.
Outside of work, I’m a mom to two little ones under two, always on the go. I love coffee shops, good pastries, and trying new foods (though McDonald’s fries are my guilty pleasure!). Spending time in the mountains and traveling to new places keeps me inspired and offers me new perspectives. I find joy in life’s simple moments — whether it's watching my kids explore the world around them or spending quality time with my loved ones. These moments of wonder and connection inspire the same sense of balance and growth that I bring into my work.
Credentials & Experience
Professional Psychologist Credentials
I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Master of Education degree in School and Applied Child Psychology
I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists
I received post-graduate training in the Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2nd Edition (ADOS-2)
Professional Experience as a Psychologist
During my graduate studies, I worked as a child development facilitator and supported students with developmental disabilities and/or neurodevelopmental differences. This experience deepened my understanding of the importance of working within a multidisciplinary team to provide families with the most comprehensive and holistic support.
Since becoming a psychologist, I’ve had the opportunity to provide mentorship and clinical supervision to graduate students completing their assessment practicums and internships. This role allowed me to share my passion and knowledge in psychology while also expanding my skillset as a lifelong learner.
